About

Weir House is one of the renowned Bruern properties in the heart of the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire. Although a more recent addition to the estate, it sits comfortably alongside its peers in both scale and style. Approached via a private drive flanked by yew hedges, the house opens onto a formal gravelled forecourt framed by box hedges and topiary, with a mature magnolia climbing over the front door.

Inside

Designed for gathering, Weir offers generous living space across multiple reception rooms. The formal drawing room centres around an open fire, while a separate games and television room provides a relaxed space with a 42” plasma screen and surround sound.

The dining room comfortably seats ten, with flexibility to extend for twenty — and up to thirty guests when rented alongside additional cottages on the estate. The kitchen is exceptionally large and well equipped, suited to both family meals and catered occasions.

There are five en-suite bedrooms — three located on the ground floor and two upstairs — comprising three doubles and two twins. The house sleeps ten adults, with space for up to four additional children in requested guest beds. Interiors reflect Bruern’s classic country house style, balancing comfort with understated elegance.

Guests benefit from a generous Bruern welcome basket, daily cleaning and newspapers on request, access to the LCR app guide to the Cotswolds, and Cotswold Passport Holder status upon booking.

Outside

Gardens surround the house both front and back, creating a sense of privacy and space. A croquet lawn and dedicated children’s play area sit within the grounds, alongside two sunny terraces equipped with barbecues for outdoor dining.

Beyond the private gardens, guests enjoy full access to Bruern’s shared amenities: spa, gym, indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, games room, on-site bikes and four acres of award-winning gardens bordered by the Evenlode River.
