About

Inside

Tucked above the main courtyard, The Loft is a characterful apartment designed for comfort and light. Reached via an external stone staircase, the entrance opens into an airy open-plan living space with high beamed ceilings, limed oak floors and a blend of modern touches and Arts & Crafts period furniture.

The sitting and dining areas are thoughtfully arranged for easy living, combining a relaxed, homely atmosphere with refined style. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything needed for self-catering — oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and cooking essentials — making it equally suited to weekend escapes or longer stays.

There are two bedrooms: a double with its own en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom served by a family bathroom. Both are simply furnished with soft linens and calm, neutral tones. For larger groups, the apartment can be configured to sleep up to six guests at an additional charge.

FreeSat TV, Wi-Fi and telephone are included, ensuring connectivity without distraction from the peaceful surroundings.

Outside

Guests at The Loft share access to the exceptional facilities of Kingham Cottages: a heated indoor swimming pool, tennis court, and the striking Moorish Pavilion housing a hammam-style Turkish bath. The landscaped gardens are filled with sculpture and quiet seating areas, ideal for reading or reflection.

Location

Situated in the heart of Kingham, Oxfordshire — one of the Cotswolds’ most sought-after villages — The Loft is within walking distance of The Wild Rabbit and The Kingham Plough, with Daylesford Organic Farm just over a mile away. The market towns of Chipping Norton, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are nearby for shopping, dining and exploring.

Compact, comfortable and full of character, The Loft at Kingham Cottages is a perfect choice for couples or small families seeking a stylish and peaceful base in the Cotswolds.

Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is one of England’s most picturesque regions, celebrated for its honey-stone villages, rolling hills, and timeless charm. Spanning several counties, it’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where winding lanes lead to historic market towns, ancient churches, and cosy country pubs.

From elegant towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to the peaceful meadows around Chipping Campden and Broadway, the Cotswolds offers a perfect mix of heritage and tranquillity. Days can be spent exploring stately homes, wandering through flower-filled gardens, or walking the scenic Cotswold Way.

Local life moves at a gentler pace here, shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, agriculture, and tradition. Visitors can browse independent boutiques, sample seasonal produce at farm shops, or join local festivals that celebrate everything from food to music and the arts. Whether you’re enjoying a lazy afternoon tea, cycling between hilltop villages, or visiting renowned landmarks like Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds promises an authentic and memorable taste of the English countryside.
