About

Javelin Cottage sits quietly within the Stancombe Park estate, framed by ancient woodland and open parkland. Recently renovated, it retains its traditional Cotswold charm while offering the comfort and reliability of modern systems and thoughtful design.

Inside

The ground floor is arranged for relaxed country living. A generous sitting room with a wood-burning stove provides a warm focal point, complemented by a similarly sized dining room ideal for shared meals. The fully equipped kitchen opens through double doors onto the terrace, creating an easy flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. A separate WC completes the ground floor.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms, one of which can be configured as either a double or twin to suit your group. A family bathroom serves the first floor. Bedrooms are dressed with 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen, down duvets, feather pillows and pocket-sprung mattresses for comfort. Bathrooms are stocked with Egyptian cotton towels and Rituals toiletries. High-speed internet, new heating and updated hot water systems ensure year-round ease.

On arrival, guests are welcomed with a Stancombe Park Welcome Hamper including Champagne, smoked salmon and a selection of locally sourced produce.

Outside

A terrace directly outside the kitchen is furnished with a table and barbecue, ideal for outdoor dining. Steps lead to a further entertaining area with open views across the parkland, reinforcing the sense of space and privacy.

Guests are invited to roam the wider Stancombe Park estate, excluding the gardens of other rented properties and the grounds immediately surrounding the main house, which remains the owner’s private family residence. A range of on-estate activities and experiences can be arranged to enhance your stay.
