About

Inside

Nestled on the edge of the village of Kingscote, Kingscote Park is an elegant Regency country house offering both grandeur and warmth. Designed for gatherings, the house combines historic architecture with the atmosphere of a relaxed family home.

The ground floor is arranged around a series of characterful rooms — a formal drawing room, a library snug, a music room and a comfortable sitting room with real fires and chandeliers. A retro jukebox in the hall adds a playful note to the refined interiors.

At the heart of the house, the large kitchen–breakfast room with AGA invites convivial cooking and conversation. There’s ample space for entertaining, with the option to self-cater or request meals prepared to your requirements. The dining room comfortably seats large groups, making it ideal for extended family stays, milestone celebrations or festive gatherings.

Across the upper floors are eight beautifully appointed double bedrooms, each individually styled with period detail and sweeping views of the parkland. Two further double bedrooms in the Zen Wing provide added flexibility, while the Gate Lodge — a separate one-bedroom retreat — offers a romantic hideaway with its own kitchen, Jacuzzi bath and Japanese-inspired tea garden.

Outside

Surrounded by 28 acres of formal gardens, woodland and open parkland, Kingscote Park is a haven of tranquillity. The grounds feature a walled herb garden, healing spiral, labyrinth, Celtic wishing tree and Asian-inspired landscapes including a Chinese scholar’s garden and Japanese tea garden. These gardens, celebrated in Tony Russell’s The Cotswold’s Finest Gardens, offer beauty and calm in every direction.

The house adjoins the Matara Centre, an earth-friendly event venue with a cloistered courtyard and domed glass celebration room, available for weddings and large gatherings.

Location

Set just west of Tetbury in Gloucestershire, Kingscote Park is perfectly positioned to explore the Cotswolds’ most charming towns, walks and historic sites. The local village pub is within easy walking distance, while Tetbury’s boutiques and restaurants are a short drive away.

Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is one of England’s most picturesque regions, celebrated for its honey-stone villages, rolling hills, and timeless charm. Spanning several counties, it’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where winding lanes lead to historic market towns, ancient churches, and cosy country pubs.

From elegant towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to the peaceful meadows around Chipping Campden and Broadway, the Cotswolds offers a perfect mix of heritage and tranquillity. Days can be spent exploring stately homes, wandering through flower-filled gardens, or walking the scenic Cotswold Way.

Local life moves at a gentler pace here, shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, agriculture, and tradition. Visitors can browse independent boutiques, sample seasonal produce at farm shops, or join local festivals that celebrate everything from food to music and the arts. Whether you’re enjoying a lazy afternoon tea, cycling between hilltop villages, or visiting renowned landmarks like Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds promises an authentic and memorable taste of the English countryside.
