Set in its own private field beside The Royal Oak, this hilltop shepherd hut offers open views across the Vale of Evesham, a kingsize bed, a private copper bath hut and a warm, pared-back interior. Simple, well-made and completely self-contained. Dog friendly.
Dumbleton Shepherd Hut elevates hillside living with a calm, refined interior softened by linen, wood and gentle industrial textures. Designed for two, it pairs generous views with small luxuries — from a kingsize bed and Bert & May–tiled shower room to a completely private copper bath hut overlooking the valley. A peaceful, self-contained retreat that blends comfort, craftsmanship and stillness.
The interior is warm and understated, centred around a kingsize bed with open views across the Vale of Evesham. The walk-in shower room is finished with Bert & May tiles, a copper basin and thoughtful detailing.
The living space includes a compact kitchenette with cast-iron cookware, Nkuku glassware, a Nespresso machine and a two-hob induction stove, plus a small dining nook for slow meals. A log burner anchors the hut, keeping the space steady and inviting year-round. Soft robes, French linen bedding and ambient lighting complete the atmosphere.
A private copper bath hut sits just a few steps from the main hut — a quiet standalone space designed for slow morning soaks and long evening baths overlooking the valley.
Outside the hut itself, seating is arranged for relaxed afternoons and firepit evenings. Although the field is shared with two neighbouring huts, each is spaced and planted for privacy, giving a calm, uninterrupted sense of place.
Set beside The Royal Oak in Gretton, the hut offers easy access to the pub, its tennis and pickleball courts, and nearby walking routes. Winchcombe, Broadway, Cleeve Hill and the Cotswold Way are close by, with Cheltenham, Daylesford and wider Cotswold landmarks comfortably reachable for day trips.
