Crucis Park is a substantial Queen Anne–inspired country house set within a private Gloucestershire estate, combining classical proportions with Cotswold craftsmanship. Sleeping up to 20 guests across ten bedrooms, with full staffing and catering, it offers refined living just minutes from Cirencester.
Crucis Park, designed by Yiangou Architects, replaces the original family house with a newly built country residence of approximately 10,000 square feet. Constructed in Cotswold ashlar and local rubble stone sourced from the estate’s own quarry, it reflects the traditions of regional architecture while embracing the symmetry and refinement of classic Queen Anne styling.
The house is arranged on a formal square plan with projecting central bays to both principal elevations, each subtly differentiated by architectural detail, including a bold broken pediment and an engaged colonnade. A central staircase hall, illuminated by a glazed cupola above, forms the architectural heart of the house.
Internally, elegant proportions are complemented by considered detailing: marble and stone fireplaces, timber staircases, decorative plasterwork and bespoke mahogany bookcases. A painted timber-panelled dining room offers a striking setting for formal meals, while the drawing room, library and additional sitting room provide varied spaces for relaxation and entertaining.
Ten bedrooms, seven with en-suite bathrooms, are arranged to accommodate up to 20 guests in comfort. The house is fully staffed and catered, allowing guests to focus entirely on enjoying the estate and its surroundings.
The house sits within a large and private estate, surrounded by parkland and open countryside. A heated outdoor swimming pool, available seasonally but able to be heated at other times by arrangement, sits alongside a hot tub and sauna. A private swimming lake and tennis court add to the leisure offering, creating a setting equally suited to active days and relaxed afternoons.
Events are considered, and additional ancillary accommodation nearby can be made available if required.
Crucis Park lies in Gloucestershire within a secluded estate setting yet only an eight-minute drive from Cirencester, often referred to as the Capital of the Cotswolds and renowned for its Roman heritage, independent shops and restaurants.
