About

Congrove Barns are twin, newly renovated barns crafted as a romantic hideaway for two or an intimate yet spacious stay for families or friends. They sit in a remarkable south-facing position on the side of a private valley with its own arboretum, only a short distance from Bath. At night, the lights of the city shimmer in the distance, giving the barns a sense of calm and quiet without feeling remote.

Inside

The living barn holds the open-plan sitting and dining space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cosy games/TV room with table football and a shower room. The games room has a Conran sofa-bed that can be arranged as a single or double — best suited for two children or one adult.

The second barn is the sleeping barn, with two en-suite bedrooms: one king room with a bathroom featuring twin basins, and one zip-and-link king with an en-suite shower room. Indoors, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with board games and a wood-burning stove for slower evenings.

Outside

The gardens are fenced and gated, ideal for dogs and children. An in-ground hot tub sits privately beside the barn, with croquet and badminton available for long, easy afternoons outside. The valley setting is exceptionally peaceful, surrounded by woodland and the property’s private arboretum.

From elegant towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford to the peaceful meadows around Chipping Campden and Broadway, the Cotswolds offers a perfect mix of heritage and tranquillity. Days can be spent exploring stately homes, wandering through flower-filled gardens, or walking the scenic Cotswold Way.

Local life moves at a gentler pace here, shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, agriculture, and tradition. Visitors can browse independent boutiques, sample seasonal produce at farm shops, or join local festivals that celebrate everything from food to music and the arts. Whether you’re enjoying a lazy afternoon tea, cycling between hilltop villages, or visiting renowned landmarks like Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds promises an authentic and memorable taste of the English countryside.
