Set between Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold, Astley Manor is a generous country estate with mature gardens, a lake, tennis court, and hot tub — ideal for relaxed family stays and memorable celebrations.
Astley Manor is a much-loved eight-bedroom manor house set close to Stow-on-the-Wold. It blends traditional warmth with impressive scale, shaped by the current owner’s Texan background and the artwork that reflects it. The house is suited to family gatherings, longer stays with friends, and special celebrations. The main house sleeps fifteen, with space for twenty-two across the additional lodge and the groom’s flat.
The interiors balance classic comfort with room to spread out. The dining table seats up to sixteen and the house is arranged for groups to gather easily, while still offering quiet corners and private bedrooms. The estate guardian and gardener live on site to ensure everything is kept in excellent order. Additional staff — including housekeeping or a full-time chef — can be arranged on request.
The grounds are a defining feature: landscaped gardens, a stocked lake, a productive vegetable and fruit garden, and an orchard. There is a hot tub with garden views and a full-size tennis court. Wide lawns and sheltered spots make the estate ideal for both calm afternoons and energetic family time.
Astley Manor sits equidistant between Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold, two of the Cotswolds’ best-known market towns. Shops, cafés, walks, and pubs are a short drive away, with the wider Cotswolds easily accessible for day trips.
