About

Aintree Cottage is one of the renowned Bruern Cottages, set in the Evenlode Valley in the heart of the Cotswolds. Originally a stable, it has been thoughtfully restored and redesigned, retaining character while offering all the comforts of a well-appointed country home.

Inside

The drawing room is warm and inviting, centred around an open fire and decorated with original stencilling by Jocasta Innes. French windows open onto the terrace, while views stretch across the walled garden and courtyard, filling the space with natural light.

The kitchen–dining room is fully equipped for relaxed family meals, also opening directly onto the terrace for easy indoor–outdoor living. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a king-size four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom. Two twin bedrooms share a family bathroom, making the layout ideal for families.

A thoughtful detail for younger guests is the under-stairs children’s den, complete with toy cooker, dressing-up clothes and games — reinforcing Bruern’s reputation as a family-friendly retreat.

Outside

The private terrace faces a sheltered walled garden and is equipped with a barbecue for summer dining. Beyond the cottage, guests enjoy shared access to Bruern’s four acres of award-winning gardens bordering the River Evenlode.

Facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, spa, gym and tennis court, along with a children’s play area, Wendy house and games room — creating a setting that balances relaxation with activity.
