Redesdale Cottage Burford is on the south western side of the lovely Sheep Street, a stone’s thrown from the high street but a quiet location with both the Lamb and the Bay Tree hotels and their respective restaurants and bars a short walk away.

The cottage is beautifully decorated, light filled and spacious with an fantastic long garden that benefits from the sun most of the day. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms – two shower rooms, one with a full size tub – it is really ideal for 4+2; four adults and two children or up to five adults.

Burford is a thriving and bustling Cotswold market town with medieval origins that sits on the River Windrush. Along the Hight Street you will find the relatively recently relaunched Bull restaurant that offers three great dining experiences, the Huffkins and Lynwood Cafes and the locally famous Burford Garden Centre a longer walk away on the edge of town. For lovers of contemporary art we are fans of The Brian Sinfield Gallery, for antiques we love to browse in Manfred Schotten Antiques. When dining in, shop local at The Burford Farm Shop, W J Castle Butchers, The Bakery on the Hill and the Cotswold Cheese Co although there is also a min- supermarket as well with Witney a short car drive away for bigger supermarket shopping; although all the big supermarkets will deliver.

There are pretty walks from the edge of the town, south to local villages and hamlets like Shilton, Signet, Holwell and Westwell. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and Crocodiles of The World are very close to the town and the 18 hole Burford Golf Club is actually in walking distance – albeit up the hill. Founded 1936 and 18 holes it welcomes members and visitors alike.

Burford is very central in the Cotswolds and only 20 miles from the centre of Oxford, 11 miles from Daylesford, 17 miles from Soho Farmhouse and 10 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. If flying private Brize Norton is only 5 miles away and Oxford Airport just 19 miles away.
