You’ll be welcomed to a tucked-away vineyard near Great Rissington for a relaxed, informative tour of the vines and cellar. Hugo will guide a tasting of the vineyard’s current wines, with stories behind each bottle. Afterward, you’ll sit down to a seasonal lunch prepared by Hugo using local produce — think grilled vegetables, slow-roasted meats, and homemade desserts. Expect a communal table, informal hosting, and plenty of wine in a quiet, countryside setting.
Nigel is the founder of Luxury Cotswold Rentals — a curated collection of private homes in some of the most beautiful corners of the Cotswolds. What began with his own property has grown into a close-knit portfolio of places with real character, all owned by people who care deeply about getting the details right.
Nigel and his wife Maria know every house and every owner personally — which means you get more than just a list of properties. You get honest recommendations, local knowledge that’s second nature, and someone who genuinely wants you to have a great stay.
Each home is prepared with care before arrival, with beds made, towels soft, kitchens stocked with the essentials, and everything ready to go. Their housekeepers or managers will be there to welcome you, walk you through the space, and remain on hand throughout your stay, just in case.
